1. Who we are
Simic Solutions is a Canadian digital product and creative studio based in Ontario. In this policy, “Simic Solutions,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Simic Solutions.
The person accountable for our privacy practices is the Privacy Officer, Simic Solutions. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to hello@simicsolutions.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect information that you choose to provide when you email us, submit a project request or otherwise contact us. This may include your name, email address, telephone number or social handle, business name, project details, budget range, preferred timing and any other context you include.
Our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, browser type, device information, request time and pages requested.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- review and respond to inquiries and project requests;
- evaluate project fit, scope, timing and next steps;
- provide requested services and support;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website;
- maintain appropriate business and legal records; and
- comply with applicable law.
Submitting a project request gives us permission to respond to that request. It does not subscribe you to promotional email.
4. Service providers and external services
We may use trusted service providers to operate the website and process information on our behalf. The website is hosted through Netlify, which processes website requests and project-form submissions. These providers may process information outside your province or outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
The system bar requests public weather conditions for Courtice, Ontario from Open-Meteo. It uses fixed Courtice coordinates—not your device location—and temporarily caches those conditions in your browser session.
Links to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other third-party websites take you to services governed by their own privacy policies. We do not control their practices.
5. When information may be disclosed
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose it to service providers who help us operate the website or deliver requested work, when required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or as part of a business reorganization. We limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
6. Retention and safeguards
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including legitimate business, accounting, dispute-resolution and legal requirements. Retention periods depend on the nature of the inquiry and whether it becomes a client relationship.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not include passwords, payment-card information or other unnecessary sensitive information in a project request.
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, withdraw consent where applicable, or ask us to delete information we no longer need to retain. Contact hello@simicsolutions.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You may also have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the applicable provincial privacy authority.
8. Children’s privacy
This company website and its project-intake form are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children through them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website, services or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
